www.post-gazette.com/pg/09052/950723-54.stmWoman found dead in Lawrence County Saturday, February 21, 2009 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette State police are investigating the slaying of a woman whose body was discovered yesterday by her 4-year-old daughter in their home in Wampum, Lawrence County. Kenzie Marie Houk, 26, was found dead of a gunshot wound in her home in the 1100 block of Wampum-New Galilee Road, state police in New Castle said. Her daughter told a nearby tree trimming crew about her discovery about 10 a.m., and the workers called 911. Relatives told KDKA-TV that Ms. Houk was nine months pregnant with a boy and was due to deliver the first week of March. They said she lived in the house with her boyfriend, his child and her two daughters. State police are asking anyone with information "of any suspicious individuals, suspicious vehicles or suspicious activities" in the area of the home to call the New Castle barracks at 724-598-2211.
