Chris Brown, Jordan's father, was not informed that his son was being interviewed at the school by police in the presence of a guidance counselor. Jordan was never advised that he was free to leave at any time. www.vindy.com/news/2009/aug/27/motion-will-seek-juvenile-status-for-pa-boy-in/?newswatchThough it was claimed that attempts were made to contact Chris, Trooper Janice Wilson saw Chris at the family residence before she went to the elementary school to question the two children but never asked his permission to interview his son. www.vindy.com/news/2009/jul/03/boy8217s-lawyers-want-police-interview/If convicted as an adult, Jordan will be the youngest person sentenced to life without parole in America. The prosecution stated that only Jordan and Janessa's footprints were visible near the home on the morning of the murders. These were observable because of the light dusting of snow. However, the prosecution never explained why Chris Brown's footprints were not observed as he left the house around 7am, nor did they explain why the tree trimmers who came to the home after hearing the 4 year old daughter crying were not visible. Ballistics reports showed that a shotgun shell found on the property came from the shotgun in Jordan's bedroom; however, the report did not identify that exact shotgun or shell as being involved in the commission of the murders. Though Kenzie was described as being shot at close range, execution-style, no blood was described as having been found on Jordan's clothing.

They also did not dust the shell for fingerprints, as you pointed out.

I would expect there to be shotgun shells with his fingerprints on the property though. He shot guns with his father there. However, I'm wondering why I can't find any confirmation that the police dusted the home for foreign fingerprints. Did they find any prints that did not belong to any of the immediate family? Did they look for any?

There might have been quite a few shotgun shells on the property and the police may have just picked up that one because it was consistent with the general location Janessa said they would find one in. I'll have to go back and look but I've seen an inconsistency in how the story is told also...I've seen it referred to as her saying he threw the shell into a bush and then I've seen it stated that she saw him drop it on the ground.
Which is it?

That is right Melissa, they have said both. In addition to this, I also think they did find shells, emphasis on 's' in lots of places, which is why they had to make the "pristine" condition of this one relevant.
They did not dust for fingerprints anywhere!!! No fingerprints were lifted from anything in or around the house. They did not check!

Poor crime scene investigation. I don't understand why this boy is still away.
