I am new here but I wanted to chime into this discussion board.
I believe in Jordan's innocence.
I intended to write a good post, but somehow my writing went up in smoke.
No big loss; for I had written a long essay about the case beforehand in case I do not act like a fool in front of the whole class.
Now for my ten reasons that make me believe in Jordan's innocence.
1. The Body: Was there an autopsy? Did they photograph everything properly at the crime scene. Did they recreate what might have happened that morning? Did they pinpoint the time of death? Every obvious thing that should be done to pinpoint a possible list of suspects should have happened, but where is the smoking gun?
2. Jordan Brown was arrested around three in the morning the following day. The body or the crime scene was not even processed yet IMHO. The mugshot reveals nothing to me then a boy of eleven living the beginning of a huge nightmere. And it too shows the bravado of the Pennsylvania State Police.
3. The Protective Order: Countless times in jurisprudence across the nation, these pieces of paper often get the woman or man filing it eventually killed. Often relatives and friends become colateral damage and the defendant often saves for the last act the fine art of suicide. This case turns the old stereotype topsy-turvy.
4. The Tattle Tale: Kenzie's brother-in-law stated to the cops that his kid overheard Jordan's jibe about Kenzie at a recent holiday get-together months before the shooting. Like Kenzie and Adam, the couple also had previous scrapes with the legal system. And the little boy who tattled on Jordan was about five or six at the time he babbled about Jordan's jibe. Obvious heresay by any accounts, but someone in the family was quite shaken. There is a rumor going around that Jordan and maybe even Chris was hated by some members of the Houk family. Which ones should be obvious to anyone on this board.
5. The fib: The sister cleared Jordan twice, but that third time she sang like a parrot. This fib is the only reason Jordan has been in this mess since Feb. 21, 2009. I may have stated somewhere that someone in the family is keeping the truth from coming out, afraid of becoming a victim too.
6. The Policewoman from Hell: Janice Wilson has got a lot of explaining to do when this case goes to court. If I was a defense lawyer, she would get the tongue lashing of her life from me (along with every law person or lab person who investigated this case and any Houk family member that appears for the prosecution, and I would put Jordan on the stand so that on cross-examination by the DA, he can make the man look like an absolute fool for the record). Though the key to collapsing the walls around the system go throgh the policewoman. As has been told somewhere around cyberspace, she has a past ripe to use in questioning to decredit her shoddy work in this criminal matter.
7. Kenzie's pregnancy and forthcoming marriage: Adam Harvey knew that after the birth and marriage, access to Kenzie would be much harder for him. Any murder after that would point right back to him. He is the one the law would be after with fire and sword.
8. The Prosecutor: John Bongivengo ought to be ashamed of himself for using Jordan to win another term in office. He failed big time, but what he did accomplish was to keep young Jordan locked up with no bail for two years without trial because of all the mud being slung by both sides was massive. Why is the kid not out of detention awaiting his trial? What was the State's reason for keeping him locked up all this time? Since when does a boy stay two years locked up without trial? Someone please give me some input. Cameron Kocher spent three years or so not locked up after killing that little girl back in 1989. (Twenty two years this month that occured!)
9. Kenzie's family know that Adam did it. They know it was not Jordan's 20-Gauge Shotgun that did the dirty deed. They know that Adam was more knowledgable with guns than Jordan. They know that Kenzie had a open-casket funeral for Kenzie with no further cosmetic work. They know the police would screw it up. Now everyone outside Jordan's side of the family are buying their gospel of Jordan's guilt from the so-called "liberal media".
10. The Mass Media made a mountain out of a molehill to use an old pun without checking the other side of the story. All I find is mostly junk buying the State's side of the ledger, even on wikipedia. All I want is some reporter to check into this fairly with no bias. I might sound all biased just spouting this on this board, but I have been convinced ever since I first heard this from an unfair Nancy Grace piece on CNN Headline News around a year after the murder.
Why was Jordan thrown in jail in the first place without bail? Is denying bail a resent standard in any murder case? Where was the flight risk? I do not think Chris Brown for a runner, but oh boy, Adam Harvey would merit no bail by the things I've heard about him. Jordan has no criminal record prior to all this happening.
Cameron Kocher back in March of 1989, according to old issues of the ABA Journal (accessable on Google ), was granted bail during his ajudication and given back to the custody of his parents. This case had more guilt pointing back at him, since I have read no doubts about the lab people back then. I also thought that the punishment he got was fair. No further involvement in the law system was made by the boy, now in his early thirties. I wonder how much a bombshell it was back then?
Judging from Jordan's case, everyone has gone to the movies. That old Steely Dan song seems so ironic. It comes off the record, "Katy Lied" by the way.
